Comunicancer <\/b>is a global strategic communication research<\/b> project focused on the study of cancer prevention, with special attention to digital communication<\/b> and young audiences<\/b>.<\/p>

Under the Comunicancer framework, R&D&I projects are being developed, funded by the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities and the State Research Agency, in the field of health communication<\/b>, with the aim of optimising communication by specialists in skin cancer prevention<\/b> and helping to slow the spread of this disease through more effective campaigns tailored to the needs of the public.<\/p>

The research team is made up of leading researchers in the fields of Health Sciences and Social Sciences<\/b>, affiliated with national and international universities and institutions,<\/b> who represent a range of medical and communication specialities<\/b>. El c\u00e1ncer de piel constituye una <\/span>epidemia en expansi\u00f3n global<\/strong>, con un impacto creciente sobre los sistemas sanitarios, y se perfila como una <\/span>amenaza de salud p\u00fablica en Espa\u00f1a<\/strong> en los pr\u00f3ximos a\u00f1os, especialmente entre la <\/span>poblaci\u00f3n universitaria<\/strong>, uno de los grupos de mayor riesgo debido a la persistencia de <\/span>conductas de riesgo<\/strong> y a una <\/span>insuficiente percepci\u00f3n del peligro<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>

Comunicancer surge con el prop\u00f3sito de investigar la comunicaci\u00f3n sobre la prevenci\u00f3n del c\u00e1ncer de piel por fotoexposici\u00f3n<\/b> solar<\/b> para frenar la epidemia de c\u00e1ncer, atendiendo a un enfoque integral que combina dos grandes lineas de trabajo:<\/p>

Skin cancer is a growing global epidemic<\/b> with an increasing impact on healthcare systems. It is emerging as a public health threat<\/b> in Spain<\/b> in the coming years, especially among the university population<\/b>, one of the groups most at risk due to persistent risky behaviour<\/b> and insufficient awareness of the danger.<\/b><\/p>
